Gefährliche Arbeit is dangerous. Gefährliche Arbeit is work. Gefährliche Arbeit is a network. Gefährliche Arbeit is a union. Gefährliche Arbeit does not cringe. Gefährliche Arbeit practices solidarity. Gefährliche Arbeit is queer-feminist. Gefährliche Arbeit is self-managed. Gefährliche Arbeit is always on the move. Gefährliche Arbeit comes up with solutions. Gefährliche Arbeit gets things done.
Gefährliche Arbeit is a network of queer-feminist FLINT* (Female, Lesbian, Inter, Non-Binary, Trans, *) theatre workers with an artistic understanding of the technical aspects of theatre.
Our position is queer-feminist as we challenge common gender roles and stereotypes in our work practices. We seek to subvert and dissolve the cis-male dominated structures in the technical field, which still continually reproduce sexism and other forms of discrimination. We advocate a democracy of means, flat and fluid hierarchies, sharing knowledge and tools, collective problem-solving and collaborative self-education. We are curious, always looking for solutions and trying to invent new things. We oppose the dictum of “It´s always been done like this”.
